There are only 11 days left before the most important FEC fundraising deadline of the year.
Only 11 days to show that the national security progressives we have backed have what it takes to win in November.
Right now, our Council-endorsed candidates are all in must-win races in a Senate that will be divided next month 51-49 after Alabama’s Doug Jones gets sworn in.
Will you contribute to these Council-endorsed Senate candidates today? Every contribution goes directly to the candidate.
Sen. Tammy Baldwin, an ardent national security progressive, is being seriously challenged in Wisconsin, a state that went for President Trump in 2016.
Rep. Jacky Rosen, a new Member of the House, is running against Nevada Senator Dean Heller, an extreme hawk, in a toss-up race.
Sen. Jon Tester, with a solid national security record, won both his previous races by razor-thin margins, and President Trump carried the state by 20 points in 2016.
Sen. Mazie Hirono has an excellent record since joining the Senate, including her strong support of the Iran nuclear agreement.
Sen. Angus King has been a leading critic of President Trump’s national security policies; President Trump is trying to persuade controversial Governor Paul LePage to run for the seat.
Sen. Martin Heinrich has been a strong advocate of ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
Sen. Bob Casey, with deep national security knowledge, expects a tough race in a state that surprised the nation by going for President Trump.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren has helped to lead the fight in the Senate to stave off proposals for building a new nuclear-armed cruise missile.
Our candidates need your help. Will you donate for progressive national security today?
Thank you for helping out in these critical elections.
Sincerely,
John Tierney
Executive Director
Council for a Livable World
Member of Congress (former) 1/03/1997–1/03/2015
