Maybe it's all coincidence. Maybe it's not. This whole thing seems more and more like a Tom Clancy or John Le Carré novel day by day.
Josh Marshall, over at Talking Points Memo, just published a story about the death of yet another Ukrainian/Russian who was involved in recent events related to Trump. Alex Oronov apparently was the person who arranged the meeting where the secret and bizarre peace plan was hatched — which would give Putin the U.S's blessing to keep the Crimea, among other things — that ended up on Mike Flynn's desk before his resignation.
From TPM:
Today we learned that Oronov apparently organized that 'peace plan' meeting that brought together Ukrainian MP Artemenko, Cohen and Felix Sater. About four hours ago Andrii Artemenko, the Ukrainian parliamentarian who came to New York with that 'peace plan', went on Facebook to announce that Alex Oronov has died.
There are no details available yet as to the cause or circumstances of his death (at least I can't find any via Google). He was 69, so of an age where illnesses do happen but he certainly wasn't well overdue for a visit from the Grim Reaper.
Read Josh's story and perhaps someone can make some sense of all of this. It may be nothing but it certainly feels like witnesses and participants in these events are dropping like flies.
DK member Limelite has a story today about the deaths of various Russians that are linked to Trump and Putin. Again, it may all be coincidence but it's an interesting read nonetheless: Have You Noticed? Russian Diplomats "Dying Suddenly" All Over the Place

An Oscar Wilde quote popped into my mind:
"To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."
We could paraphrase it a bit with:
"To lose one diplomat/spy/intermediary may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose half a dozen looks like meticulous caution."
