The rumors about White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer's job being in danger? It turns out they're true, and the reason we now know that is peak Team Trump. It's because Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle leaked in an interview that she was "in conversations" with the White House about taking over Spicer's job.
“I’m a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country,” Guilfoyle said. “I think it’d be a fascinating job, it’s a challenging job, and you need someone really determined and focused, a great communicator in there with deep knowledge to be able to handle that position.”
Well, she's passed the first test to be on Team Trump: leaking confidential White House information that humiliates her coworkers and makes her look incapable of doing the job in the first place. Go Team Trump!
Guilfoyle thinks her odds of getting Spicer's job are high enough that she's recently started following a host of government Twitter accounts. And aside from her ability to spontaneously leak her own job interviews, she also brings to the table a super-duper love of Russian strongmen and a disdain for civil rights, which will be a timesaver during the orientation meetings.
“I hope we violate a lot of their civil liberties. […]
“I mean, can I just make a special request in the magic lamp? Can we get like Netanyahu and like Putin in for 48 hours, you know, head of the United States? I don’t know. I just want somebody to get in here and get it done right.”
She also believes Bill Nye the Science Guy is part of the powerful great climate conspiracy, believes terrorism is the "whole mindset" of the Muslim faith, and is bad at her day job. So yeah, she'd fit right in.
Sorry, Spicer. No matter how often you've lied, apparently it wasn't enough for Donald Trump. It looks like your replacement is already measuring your office.
