This calendar is obsoleted, please see www.dailykos.com/… for a more updated version.
This is a list of the next two months and change of special elections. NOTE THAT MT-AL IS ON A THURSDAY. The next few congressional special elections are MT-AL on May 25, CA-34 (all-Dem runoff) on June 6, GA-06 RUNOFF and SC-05 on June 20, UT-03 on November 7, and AL-Sen on December 12, but there's a huge variety of state senate/house districts that we could — and should! — also make a play for.
This list will be reuploaded and updated periodically because diary commenting is disabled several days after it’s posted, and because there are more special elections (of course). (— UNLESS I can figure out how to make the thread indefinitely open to comments.)
Races where we can play offense are underlined. Races where we are playing defense are italicized. (Some elections have no D or no R candidates.)
PLEASE send all feedback, and let me know if there are other elections I should add, especially if I’ve mischaracterized the geography, timing, or election procedures of any district!
Information sources and useful links: (BEWARE of inaccuracies in dates!)
Things to do: put this info into an online spreadsheet and think about how to bring on collaborators so that this doesn’t take an entire day at a time to write up.
