Some of this I’d heard about before, but this latest report has even more fuckery in it.
In a detailed report at Forbes, Dan Alexander reveals that the Eric Trump Foundation redirected money raised through its annual charity golf tournament back into Trump’s own businesses.
Even though Eric Trump had originally set up the golf tournament so that all money raised would go directly to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, sources tell Forbes that the elder Trump grew furious that his younger son let his foundation’s charity use the Trump National Golf Course for free.
“In the early years, they weren’t being billed [for the club]–the bills would just disappear,” Ian Gillule, who used to serve as membership and marketing director at Trump National Westchester explains to Forbes. “Mr. Trump had a cow. He flipped. He was like, ‘We’re donating all of this stuff, and there’s no paper trail? No credit?’ And he went nuts. He said, ‘I don’t care if it’s my son or not — everybody gets billed.'”
Originally the use of the golf course was donated, it was free, then Trump decided he needed a personal piece of the action, and that was only the beginning.
First he overcharged his own son for the use of the club. Via Forbes.
In reviewing filings from the Eric Trump Foundation and other charities, it's clear that the course wasn't free--that the Trump Organization received payments for its use, part of more than $1.2 million that has no documented recipients past the Trump Organization. Golf charity experts say the listed expenses defy any reasonable cost justification for a one-day golf tournament.
Then they funneled another $100k from Eric’s charity to Donald’s pockets.
Additionally, the Donald J. Trump Foundation, which has come under previous scrutiny for self-dealing and advancing the interests of its namesake rather than those of charity, apparently used the Eric Trump Foundation to funnel $100,000 in donations into revenue for the Trump Organization.
And instead of the money going to help sick kids at St. Judes, another $500k went to completely separate charities and entities.
And while donors to the Eric Trump Foundation were told their money was going to help sick kids, more than $500,000 was re-donated to other charities, many of which were connected to Trump family members or interests, including at least four groups that subsequently paid to hold golf tournaments at Trump courses.
So essentially Donald can’t be trust, Eric can’t be trusted and frankly neither can Don Jr. or Ivanka if this is how their internal family dynamics works — whatever Don Sr. wants — he gets.

Last night in response to this and various other scandals Eric Trump went on Hannity to proclaim “I’ve never seen hatred like this. They aren’t even people.”
Asked by host Hannity, “Don’t you wish you went to Washington so you could deal with this everyday?” the president’s son sneered at Democrats.
“I’ve never seen hatred like this, ” he responded. “To me, they’re not even people. It is so so sad.”
“Morality is just gone,” he continued. “Morals have flown out the window. We deserve so much better than this as a country. It’s so sad — you see the Democratic Party and they are imploding. They’re imploding, they have no message. You see the head of the DNC who is a total whack-job. There’s no leadership there. And so what do they do? They become obstructionists because they have no message of their own.”
“I raised $16.3 Million for the greatest hospital in the world, and than I get attacked for it, and I blame Democrats.”
