Joy Reid is clearly one of the best there is in bringing us the truth. She is sharp, quick witted and brings facts to the table to counter trolls in her show.
Today, during the second hour of her show, there were five panelists during a segment related to the Russian intervention. Two were trolls from the other side. One stated the reason Fox News viewers don't care about this alleged Russian interference is because you know jobs. And she reprimanded the Dems for not speaking about you know jobs.
The other troll — the wife had told me he was one from the other side, so I turned off the teevee when he started to open his mouth. A full eternity later, he was still trolling, so I shut the teevee off again. At the end of the segment, it was our misfortune to hear him blame everything on Obama. When Joy Reid stated blaming Obama is a losing strategy, he disagreed.
Question to Joy — is it necessary to pack 40% of your panel with trolls? And is it necessary to allow them to dominate the conversation with more than their share of the allocated time? Are you helping to enlighten the audience in any way when you bring opposing voices who lie glibly to bring us the other side of the argument?
The other side of this coin is the normalization of the GOP by folks such as Lawrence O’Donnell, who routinely bring as guests Republicans those who oppose Trump. These panelists have a record of supporting causes that are anathema to any fair minded person. But their opposition to Trump seems to have washed away all their sins. George Will readily comes to mind.
In conclusion...
