Would you watch Spicey dance? The folks over at ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ thinks so. Rumour has it that they’re trying to “court” former Press Secretary Sean Spicer to be a contestant on the show. POLITICO reports:
Two sources tell POLITICO that ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” has expressed interest in Spicer joining the show, in which celebrities are paired with professional dancers and compete with one another.
Spicer wouldn’t be the show’s first political contestant. Rick Perry, now energy secretary, competed last year; he was voted off in the second week.
The New York Post first reported on the reality TV show’s interest in Spicer on Wednesday. Spicer did not respond to a request for comment. An ABC spokesperson said: “We don’t comment on casting.”
Even if he doesn’t join the show, Spicer might be making more appearances on TV in the near future. Sources also say he’s been meeting with folks at the major news networks like CBS and NBC—and major agencies are “vying” to represent him. Looks like Spicey is going to be doing just fine.
