Welcome to another fuzzy-headed bit of fluff from your over-lovin’ green-eyed, friendly neighborhood werelynx. I won’t be around when this publishes. With any luck at all I’ll be too exhausted to even peek at it until some time on Saturday. I’m on the road again. This time I’ll be hopping the big pond and picking on a few friends and family stateside. Next week I’ll put together a little photo diary from there, but for tonight I thought I’d ask you folks something about a subject that I’ve been obsessed with this week.
Webcomics
Do you read comics? Do you read comics online? comic strips, comic books, graphic novels, single-panel gag cartoons…
If you do read comics online, how did you discover them? Where do you go to read them? Do you follow any serialized comics with regularly posted episodes?
Would you follow one of mine?
Now, now, there’s not much to see at this point. just dipping my toes in the water. Thinking my artwork and story could use a bit more polish. I should begin posting regular installments sometime in September. I’ve just been spending a lot of time this week trying to delve a bit into the webcomics world and try not to hurt myself in the process. I decided to start off with the services of a free site with the unfortunate name of “Smack Jeeves”, but they seem to have a good reputation and I far preferred the look of their site to any of the other free sites I visited. But as someone rather new to this business, it’s pretty bewildering. I’d appreciate any thoughts or experiences you’d care to share with me. I suppose that ultimately I’d like to get my story published as a book, a genuine, hard-cover book of about 200 pages, but a cartoonist has to start somewhere.
So, as I travel with my head in the clouds, I’ll be wondering what I’ll be able to make of this project of mine once my feet get back on the ground.
Thanks for stopping by.
