Photos from the Conodoquient Creek in Camp Hill PA on July 31st.
Thirty years ago Camp Hill in Central Pennsylvania was overwhelmingly Republican. At a recent Camp Hill Democratic meeting with candidates for this year’s candidates it was celebrated that the area had candidates for borough offices, school board, and mayor. For school board which is nominally nonpartisan there was actually a candidate who didn’t cross file as Democrat and Republican.
There has been demographic changes in the area. Clinton actually carried all of the five precincts last year.
The northern boundary is a tributary of the Susquehanna which attracts migratory birds this time of year.
A cormorant floated down stream, dove for something and took off.
To get down to the Creek cut off the road that goes by the Pennsylvania Blue Cross headquarters, drive by the house with the Confederate flag.
Just passed the bridge with the graffiti under the abutments.
Somewhere there is a deep thought to be said about this, but damned if I know what it is.
