The Wall Street Journal claims that the Mueller probe has evidence that Peter W. Smith had advance knowledge of the emails obtained by Wikileaks. The WSJ, as a Murdoch outlet, may only be repurposing its information from when it interviewed Smith days before his suicide. Mueller’s notably tight-lipped, so this is more defense extrapolation.,
Investigating Peter W. Smith’s death could get “Kavanaughed” much like Jamal Khashoggi's death will get "Kavanaughed" by Trump / Kushner because Jamal was like Conor McGregor and had a “fistfight” with 15 Saudis.
That Khashoggi story now has become further massaged by official Saudi sources as 18 have now been arrested and two officials fired. Apparently the Saudis know how to “Kavanugh” a cause of violence.
Because Khashoggi was put in a chokehold and went over the top rope, after hitting his head on the turnbuckle? Much like in the US, suspects die from police chokeholds because they were responsible for controlling their resistance, maybe Khashoggi caused his death from noncompliance with his rendition. “Stop resisting!” will be heard on Sideshow Ed Whelan’s version of the tape.
Pretty soon the Saudis could claim that helium and a plastic bag was involved. Plastic definitely because what self-respecting forensic pathologist is going to stand around dismembering a body on a stereotypic clue like a middle-eastern rug.
Then again, the old tricks from 2016 continue to be the best tricks for 2018.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A Russian woman who works for an oligarch close to Russian President Vladamir Putin has been charged with attempting to meddle in the 2018 midterm election.
The charges, filed Friday in the Eastern District of Virginia, accuse Elena A. Khusyaynova of St. Petersburg with using social media platforms to create thousands of social media and e-mail accounts — appearing to be from people in the U.S. — to "create and amplify divisive social media and political content." The case is not being brought by special counsel Robert Mueller's team.
Among the other topics were gun control, gay rights, the women's march and the NFL national anthem debate. They also keyed off specific events, including the Las Vegas shooting and the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The content adopted several viewpoints, not just one, court documents said.
Among the politicians attacked were John McCain, Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Mitch McConnell and former President Barack Obama.
Khusyaynova's operation also targeted Mueller, pushing out an article published by the right-wing website WorldNetDaily that was titled, "The 8 Dirtiest Scandals of Robert Mueller No One Is Talking About," the criminal complaint said.
Yevgeny Prigozhin and Concord Management
Prosecutors said Khusyaynova, 44, is the chief accountant for a Russian umbrella effort called Project Lakhta, funded by a Russian oligarch whose Concord companies were named in the July indictment brought by Mueller involving attempted meddling in the 2016 election.
It must have been Chinese food because an hour later Khashoggi died from a chokehold:
(Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir) said the Saudis did not know how Khashoggi, a Saudi national and U.S. resident, had been killed or where his body was. He also said that Prince Mohammed, defacto ruler of Saudi Arabia, was not responsible.
“This was an operation where individuals ended up exceeding the authorities and responsibilities they had. They made the mistake when they killed Jamal Khashoggi in the consulate and they tried to cover up for it.”
Khashoggi went missing after entering the consulate to obtain documents for his upcoming marriage.
After denying any involvement in the 59-year-old’s disappearance for two weeks, Saudi Arabia on Saturday said Khashoggi, a critic of the crown prince, had died during a fight in the building. An hour later, another Saudi official attributed the death to a chokehold.
