This week, as the true extent of the Democrats' #BlueWave became clear, President @realDonaldTrump found himself in a foul mood.
Both literally and figuratively, his parade had been rained on.
The day after the midterm elections, Trump had declared them "close to a complete victory," and in a way—though certainly not the way he intended—he was right.
What at first looked like a modest win for Democrats was, in fact, their best results in more than 40 years.
Not only had Republicans lost control of the House, they had, for the most part, failed to capitalize on an extraordinarily favorable Senate map.
But, wait... there's more!
Democrats also picked up more than 300 state legislative seats, as well as more than a dozen major statewide elected offices.
Now, I don't know about you guys, but I'm not yet tired of all the winning.

Laura Ingraham ranted about the diversity of new Democratic members of Congress.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham dedicated a segment of her show Tuesday to criticizing four progressive Democrats who won election to Congress in last week's midterms.
In a 10-minute segment titled "The Freshman Insurrection," the "Ingraham Angle" host predicted that "dark, pink clouds" were gathering on the horizon with the arrival of Congresswomen-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (the youngest woman ever elected to Congress), Ayanna Pressley (Massachusetts' first black congresswoman), Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar (the first Muslim women elected to Congress).
Ingraham, who ahead of the midterms repeatedly urged her audience to vote Republican or face an invasion of immigrants, dubbed the quartet "the four horsewomen of the apocalypse" and expressed doubt about their ability to work with other Democrats.

A Kansas City county commissioner declared himself part of the "master race."
A Kansas county commissioner is facing calls for his resignation after he brought up the idea of a "master race" in an off-the-cuff comment while talking to a black woman during a meeting.
"I don't want you to think I'm picking on you because we're part of the master race. You know you got a gap in your teeth, you're the masters. Don't ever forget that," Leavenworth County Commissioner Louis Klemp, who is white, told the woman, a Kansas City city planner who was making a presentation about a development project that Klemp did not seem to approve of. As Klemp spoke, he motioned toward his teeth.
Leavenworth County Administrator Mark Loughry said that media accounts of Klemp's comments are not accurate, and that Klemp meant to say he and the woman are part of a master race because they both have a gap in their front teeth. Loughry said Klemp has made such a reference several times in the past about people who have a gap in their teeth.
"The use of the term 'Master Race,' as ill-advised as it may be, was not a reference to Nazis or used in a racist manner in this instance," Loughry said in a statement. "Leavenworth County has a zero tolerance for racism or discrimination in any form from any staff members. I am deeply sorry that one misconstrued comment by a member of our elected governing body has caused so much grief, sorrow and hatred."
Blue power!
