We Progressives are the Good Guys. We want social justice for everyone.
But I found an interesting article in Vox.com
titled The Smug Style In American Liberalism.
Whether fair or not,
it claims Progressive frustration at
the "failure of half the country to know what's good for them.” comes across as condescension.
It says many Trump voters have a psychological reaction against what they perceive as Elites looking down on them.
In my town, there is a tiny NASCAR racetrack. I have seen Progressives roll their eyes at mention of the fans who go to the place.
So what do you think:
In our personal manner do we Progressives give off a smugness that people pick up on?
