I wonder sometimes if we would be better served by putting
pressure on oligarchs like the Mercers and the Kochs personally rather than
bothering with the politicians.
Since these oligarchs and those like them are the real people in charge of our
country, shouldn't we be pressuring them, instead? Seems to me
we are wasting precious efforts in attempting to convince the
salesmen that we should be getting a better price when it is
always the manager in the back that we do not see who is making
the actual decisions.
Let's face it, the only way Mitch McConnell or Paul Ryan are
going to do anything at all for the people of this country
rather than the .001 percent is when we can force the .001
percent to tell them to.
Does anyone still believe in the democratic process as it is
supposed to work? When an issue is supported by greater than
75% of the voting population and is then not only not acted on,
but laws are put in place to keep it from being acted on, we
are not living in a democracy by any true sense of the word.
We have been held back by these criminals and their like, since
the country was established. Can you even imagine if we had had true
representation, true patriots doing the will of the people for
even half of the time since we began this great experiment in
democracy?
If we had, all of the things that are currently threatening us,
with things that go up to and including extinction, all of them
would have been addressed and taken care of by now and we would
be pushing the envelope on some kind of a literally utopian
“These things have all been stolen from us...”
society where all men are actually treated as equals, where the
pursuit of happiness is not constrained by all of the small-
minded morons chasing materialism at all costs. All of the no-
brainers like healthcare for all would long ago been in place
and by now even taken for granted.
These things have all been stolen from us by the .001 percent
and I, for one, am beginning to get pretty irritated and angry
with those who actually believe that they are more worthy than
all of the rest of us put together. I would go so far as saying I
am becoming vexed.
And like the police officers who say nothing regarding
their corrupt and racist brothers, not all rich people are included
in the group of corrupt at the top who are literally killing us.
Those wealthy elite who are not speaking out against them are much
like those cops who want to be considered the good guys without
having to confront the blatant evil in their midst. Indeed, in
this case many of them who probably would not do it themselves
do still benefit from the actions of the few evil ones. They no
longer get a pass from me.
If you are in the 1%, you had best be working to fix this
corrupt and evil inequality crap because if you are not, then
you are just as culpable as the likes of the Mercers and the
Kochs in the destruction of our society.
And people are starting to notice what a putrid hell you are
preparing for their children and grandchildren. Like myself,
many are becoming somewhat vexed about it. You really do not
want to know what happens when we all become quite vexed.
It would not be pretty.
Shalom, aloha, farewell.
