Steve Levitan is the co-creator and producer of the hit television series Modern Family, which runs on ABC but is produced by 21st Century Fox. Levitan joins other celebrities unable to stomach the recent Fox News coverage of the humanitarian crisis created by Donald Trump, Jeff Sessions and … Fox News.
According to Variety, Levitan has softened his initial stance.
“I have great respect and admiration for Dana Walden, Gary Newman, Peter Rice, and everyone at 20th Century Fox Studios who have all treated me so well for almost 2 decades,” Levitan said in a statement provided by his agent, UTA’s Jay Sures. “For now, I will take some time to see where those people land, and at that point, make a decision about my future.”
Variety says that Levitan has an overall deal with 21st Century Fox that expires next year. This is coupled with one of 21st Century Fox’s most successful comedy creators, Paul Feig (Bridesmaids)—who also voiced his displeasure, and Fox’s animation creator Seth MacFarlane.
