I have been mainly trying lurk here recently, but I had to write something about this.
I am a huge supporter of Alessandra Biaggi, who is running a primary campaign in NY-SD-34 against Jeff Klein, the incumbent who was the leader of the late unlamented Independent Democratic Conference that continued Republican control of the New York Senate after Democrats nominally gained a majority after the 2012 election. (The IDC was actually formed after the 2010 election but the Republicans had the majority even without the IDC at that point.) Biaggi is a fabulous candidate and I urge everyone to support her; Klein has been getting down and dirty, with lies about his record.
So I was shocked to see the above graphic prominently displayed on the front page, directly to the right of the lead article, directly above “Community Spotlight”! Click on it and you get taken not to the alleged sponsor of the ad but to kleinforsenator.org which is some unknown group that calls itself “New Yorkers for Quality Health Care” that doesn’t even show up in a Google search. (Klein’s real campaign site is www.jeffkleinny.com.)
Can someone in management please do something? And maybe donate the revenue received from that ad to the Biaggi campaign? Or has DailyKos endorsed Klein? (I surely missed that!)
