I’m really excited to share with the community a project that I’m incredibly proud to be a part of, the Bluetopsy Political Podcast. Bluetopsy is hosted by Daniel Blackman, the 7th District Chair for the Georgia Democratic Party, and Eric Cohen. The podcast’s mission is to to deconstruct the past of the Georgia Democratic Party, talk about the present, and look to the future.
What we’re so excited about is the mix of the guests and content. Our premiere episode featured Jason Carter, who as many of you know was a Georgia State Senator, 2014 Gubernatorial Candidate, Chair of The Carter Center, and grandson of President Jimmy Carter. Our second episode features a wonderfully dynamic candidate for Lt. Governor, Sarah Riggs Amico. Fascinating and authentic, Sarah is running for the number two spot in the state behind Stacey Abrams. Sarah wants to reclaim the what it means to be an evangelical as she considers that to have been hijacked by conservatives and brings a keen business mind to the race.
We have a fantastic roster of guests booked for the next two months including several statewide level candidates, U.S. Congressional candidates, and those from the world of entertainment and business. We’re also going to be focusing a spotlight on progressive groups and members of the Party where their voices need to be amplified including rural and heavily Republican areas of the state.
So, we’re looking to the Kos community to help support our broadcast! Our goal is clear: To get Democratic candidates elected throughout the State of Georgia and to further the agenda of progressives here from worker protections to dealing with the opioid crisis. Support isn’t in the way of money, it’s simply spreading the word about our broadcast and listening to these terrific members of the Georgia Democratic community!
