The insanity of Trump/Barr’s efforts to show the FBI was biased against Trump is rivaled only by the insanity of their efforts to show Ukraine and not Russia intervened in the election.
FBI bias against Clinton is and was blindingly and publicly obvious even before November 8, 2016. The Trump/Barr effort to prove anti-Trump bias must be countered forcefully by all Democrats based on the undisputed evidence the opposite was true. The media should also be doing this, but apparently they prefer being Barr’s stenographer.
Any of these four factors alone show anti-Clinton bias. Together they remove any doubt:
1. The FBI Director violated FBI policy twice and it was fatal to Clinton:
2. FBI Agents and Rudy were “furious” HIllary got off, and pressured Comey to act as he did.
3. Strzok and Page were two of 13,000 FBI agents. Why are their texts the only ones used to show bias?
4. The false Times article “Investigating Trump, FBI finds no clear link to Russia.” relied on rogue FBI Sources
1. The Obvious: The FBI Director violated FBI policy twice and it was fatal to Clinton:
July 5, 2016: Comey broke precedent by criticizing Clinton right after determining no indictment. Look at the graph above. Clinton’s ratings plunged from nearly 46 to 43 in July, while Trump’s rose over July from below 40 to nearly 46 (the only time Trump surpassed Clinton in popular vote polls).
October 28, 2016: The FBI Director violated policy by releasing his letter to Congress shortly before the election, stating the agency was examining Anthony Wiener’s laptop with Clinton’s emails. There’s little dispute this cost Clinton the election.
2. Documented Bias: FBI Agents and Rudy were “furious” Hillary got off:
Jim Kallstrom, Ex Head of the NY FBI Office: On or about November 3, 2016: “I've talked to hundreds and hundreds of people in the FBI -- mostly retired people and some people that are currently on the job that are not directly involved, but, you know, it's a small organization. You know, they know what's going on.”
“And the agents are furious.”
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who Kallstrom told the Daily Beast is "a very good friend" of his, has similarly claimed to have a pipeline of information coming from the FBI's rank and file, offering a similar assessment of its mood to the one Kallstrom has. A week ago, Giuliani teased "a couple of surprises" from the Trump campaign just days before Comey announced that the FBI is examining additional, potentially new evidence related to Clinton's email scandal. He declined to elaborate at the time what those surprises would be, but said they would be "enormously effective."
3. Strzok and Page were not the only agents in the FBI in 2016. Why are their texts the only ones used to show bias?
Why are we looking only at the Strzok/Page texts for bias when:
1. There were 100 agents assigned to Hillary’s emails and foundation; and
2. In 2016, there there were 13,082 FBI agents other than Strzok and Page
3, The NY FBI office was known to be riven with pro-Trump agents.
No one should be allowed to get away with charging bias based on just Strzok and Page without pointing this out. Ex-NY FBI Chief Kallstrom admitted “agents are furious” Clinton was not indicted in July 2016. Shouldn’t Kallstrom be deposed to say who, and should they be deposed?
4. The false Times article “Investigating Trump, FBI finds no clear link to Russia.” relied on rogue FBI Sources
The now notorious October 31, 2016 New York Times article was sourced to the FBI. Here’s a paragraph now almost completely discredited from the story.
“Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government. And even the hacking into Democratic emails, F.B.I. and intelligence officials now believe, was aimed at disrupting the presidential election rather than electing Mr. Trump.”
This idea — that the hacking was to disrupt the election rather than elect Trump — we now know is ludicrous. But it was credulously reported by the Times, based on sources including rogue FBI agents.
And if the FBI was trying to harm Trump, why was the Trump-Russia investigation kept secret, when the Hillary investigation was public?
