Obviously we need to protect our Democracy and restrain Donald Trump. Everybody knows that and it’s on-going. But, there are other issues which Democrats would like to tackle. In no particular order, though there are global, international, and national issues...
Climate change — but not everybody is onboard with a particular solution. It requires debate, but the big thing is to move away from carbon-based fuels and a Green Energy Future is something we are already seeing.
Immigration — It’s doubtful this will be easy without some agreement by Republicans and they have to work that out among themselves. A lot of them depend on the issue to get elected. Trump did.
Foreign Policy — We’re $22,000,000,000,000 in debt and it’s getting worse every day. We have to find a way to live within our means, pay our bills, and yet have our role in the world. It can’t be more of the “same old same old”. That said, we can continue to fight terrorism and to work for greater peace in the Middle East and for a continuation of peace between the NATO countries and Russia.
Nuclear Weapons — We know we don’t want to use them, so we should continue talks with the other nuclear power nations to find ways to reduce them. The recent actions of Russia and N. Korea have made this difficult, but we have little choice as these weapons are so dangerous.
Economy — We need an economy that works well for everyone. There are many small pieces to the puzzle and Democrats know them like the keys on a piano. We just need sufficient political power to do them. There is also the debate about how the economy currently works and whether we should go for direct big changes of a more Liberal nature. I think with Clinton and Obama we did the former and then were stopped from better things. So, I currently lean toward big changes (as we did with healthcare insurance reform). Other ideas which we should consider: free 2-year college education because corporations won’t pay parents enough to put their kids through schools which are too high-priced; more vacation time for workers because companies won’t allow it unless forced; more even pay from state to state; reduction of the debt and higher individual taxes to pay for it; laws which might push people to invest in companies and their workers rather than just putting money in the pockets of a few executives; more help for unions to organize and push up wages and many other ideas along these lines.
The chasm between Republicans and Democrats -- That’s a big topic and not one to be dismissed because it’s irritating. It isn’t our place to dismiss or try to muzzle anyone who disagrees with us, but we have to find a way to coexist. The current efforts of Republicans to destroy Congress cannot continue.
Gun violence — If the NRA is damaged because of involvement with the Russians, then it will be easier to satisfy the public desire (even among NRA members) for better regulation of who can get a gun.
Healthcare — We either improve the ACA/Obamacare or we replace it with Medicare for All. That’s as much up to the Republicans as for Democrats to decide and how they see their political arguments working with the public.
Infrastructure — We clearly need to invest and spend and find ways for private capital to also be involved. It may be time for a Capital Investment Bank rather than short-term infrastructure legislation.

Forgive me if I’ve forgotten some important things. There is always a long list.
