Received this e-mail from James Mackler’s (D. TN) U.S. Senate campaign:
My mother was a devoted public school teacher for 40 years. Thinking about her and everything she did to help so many children learn always brings a smile to my face.
I’m a proud product of public schools as well and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my teachers.
Unfortunately, our public schools in Tennessee are under attack. The recently passed voucher bill diverts public money from already-strained public schools, where the majority of Tennessee students attend, to give it to private institutions. And, if that wasn’t bad enough:
“FBI agents have begun interviewing Tennessee lawmakers about whether any improper incentives were offered to pass Gov. Bill Lee's school vouchers bill in the state House, NewsChannel 5 Investigates has learned.”

This bill was already reprehensible, but to think lawmakers could have sold out Tennessee’s children for some “improper incentives” takes things to a whole new level.
Stand with me against this new law. Add your name.
Thank you,
