The Congressman who voted NO.
The NO votes against the working class citizens in #NC13 continue to rack up from Republican Rep. Ted Budd.
Let's review the votes so far for 2020
Voted NO on HR-1320 Relaxing Evidence Standard for Age Discrimination that would help protect job applicants & employees from age-based discrimination.
The rule also applies to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Rehabilitation Act of 1973 & the anti-retaliatory provisions of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The bill is on its way to the Senate. Wonder if Sen. McConnell will bring it to a vote?
Ted Budd also voted NO on Blocking Administration Rule on Student Loans, HJ Res 76. Guess he is in favor of forcing those defrauded by for-profit colleges to pay off their loans despite seeking relief. The Trump Administration stopped processing new and pending claims and Devos claimed it is a form of blanket approval. It’s just another Obama-Era rollback.
Voted NO on Protecting Older Workers Against Discrimination Act - HR-1230. I guess he wants older workers not to have a job. You'd think in this sluggish #workingclass economy he would do everything to lift up the #workingclass. It's on the way to McConnell's graveyard.
Voted NO on HR 535 - PFAS Action Act. This bill requires the EPA to designate per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances as hazardous. More proof he doesn't care about our health and a clean environment for our children to live in.
He voted NO on H Con Res 83 - Directing the President pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution to terminate the use of United States Armed Forces to engage in hostilities in or against Iran. He supports sending our children to an endless WAR.
He voted NO on HR 5377 Restoring Tax Fairness for States and Localities Act. This bill raises SALT cap to $20k for married taxpayers in 2019. It eliminates the caps in 2020/21 and increases the top marginal income tax rate to 39.6% in 2020.
In other words, he doesn't support tax breaks for the #workingclass and their families. However, he has no problem giving a Tax Break to the top 2% #ExtremeRich and Corporations who are making record profits and paying little or no federal income tax.
So let's recap:
No on Environment
No on Health
No on Tax Relief for #workingclass families
No on fighting Age Discrimination
No on Endless Wars
No on Student Debt loan forgiveness
Will Rep. Ted Budd vote YES for issues that will help #workingclass folks and families? I guess if we look at his corporate pac donors, the answer lies in there.
