While watching the House Managers wrap up their presentation of the charges, I wrote a short letter to every Republican Senator. By the time you read this we will probably have finished addressing, stamping and stuffing those envelopes.
Just in case you might not have taken any recent actions, We ask that you please consider taking some action. From each of you, to each of your Republican senators, send a letter to each one. Please do this before the mail is picked up on Saturday.
Just two letters.
And make two phone calls, one to each Senator. Short, concise, strong. Is your democracy worth that little effort?
Senator xxxx,
Each article of the impeachment charges is separable. Each one, taken one at a time, is sufficient to convict and remove Trump from office. Unless each and every charge is refuted with facts, as the charges have been presented, Trump is to be convicted.
Now you will decide which is more important. On one side there is:
- Loyalty to Trump.
- Loyalty to the Republican party.
- You must stay office.
And the other side is:
The continuation of our democracy and the Constitution of the United States.
This will be your legacy. Your legacy will be part of history and will be remembered long after you leave office.
It is now your choice,
Extremely Sincerely,
And we put a little extra in the letters to McConnel and Graham. Yes, we are aware of who you are and your behavior. But maybe, just maybe, you will vote based on the facts.
