The Editorial Board of a Florida newspaper, has decided to rescind its endorsement of a seditionist. And not just any seditionist, but the worst kind of seditionist.
One who had served in the Green Berets.
On more than one occasion, I have seen news writers and tweeters call out these U.S. Reps as trying to undo what millions of American troops have died for:
Democracy
now they are losing their endorsements. The 2022 ads for their Democratic opponents write themselves..….

The Orlando Sentinel editorial board on Friday apologized for endorsing Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL), who won reelection last month and has since supported a legal effort out of Texas that seeks to challenge the results of the presidential race won by Joe Biden.
“We had no idea, had no way of knowing at the time, that Waltz was not committed to democracy,” the editorial board wrote in an op-ed published on Friday apologizing for its endorsement of Republican lawmaker.

The Sentinel editorial board wrote that it had not considered that asking candidates whether or not they would support “an effort to throw out the votes of tens of millions of Americans in four states in order to overturn a presidential election and hand it to the person who lost,” would be necessary to determine their suitability for the publication’s endorsement.
The Sentinel said, however, that an interest in preserving American democracy will not be taken for granted in its endorsement considerations going forward.
More, from the original editorial piece:
We apologize to our readers for endorsing Michael Waltz in the 2020 general election for Congress.
We had no idea, had no way of knowing at the time, that Waltz was not committed to democracy.
During our endorsement interview with the incumbent congressman, we didn’t think to ask, “Would you support an effort to throw out the votes of tens of millions of Americans in four states in order to overturn a presidential election and hand it to the person who lost, Donald Trump?”
Trust us, some variation of that question will be asked of anyone running for Congress in the future, particularly Republican candidates whose party is attempting to upend the way we choose a president.
Waltz, to our horror, was one of the 10 Florida Republican members of Congress who, on Thursday, signed up to support a lawsuit brought by Texas in the U.S. Supreme Court that attempted to throw out the election results in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania — all states where Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden.
And one U.S. Seditionist Representative was already walking back his attempted sedition, last night.
Isn’t that cute?
