I just nuked (microwaved) some leftovers and found them burning. Recalling a story a buddy once told me, I remarked this is hot… and warm. That make sense to anyone else?
I have not verified what my buddy told me though it has a certain logic to it. So I use it every now and again. Instead of thinking of “cool” as a less extreme of “cold” and “warm” as a lesser degree of “hot,” consider hot versus cold as reflecting temperature while warm and cool make reference to spice. Apparently that’s what they do in NOLA, or so my buddy said.
