7.7 million have now weighed in for Bernie. It's not enough. Not nearly enough. Not even close.
The question in the title is rhetorical. The answer is no. 2% is not a revolution. Sanders wanted a political revolution but guess what, there just isn't a lot of support for it. To have a revolution Bernie would have needed a mandate. He would have needed a progressive tsunami. He .. well, he would have needed more than 2% of the populace to support his agenda.
As much as we might have wanted this to happen, it just isn't a realistic goal in the world we live in, today. The people have spoken and the referendum on Bernie's agenda has been taken. It just isn't the will of the majority, at all. And if people just don't want Bernie, there is no use crying over spilt milk.
We can hope that a day for Sanders' progressive vision will come, and we can work to make that day come sooner, rather than later. And those are good things to do. But that day won't be in 2020. And no matter what you think of Biden, even if you believe everything his detractors say about him is true, from A all the way to Z, EVEN THEN he is not as bad as Donald Trump. even then, there's no contest. (And by the way, a lot of it probably is not even true, anyhow.)
If anyone is out there who feels that Sanders was robbed by an unfair primary process, or Biden just isn't good enough, or anything like that, Ok, your feelings are valid, we can talk about that later. But for now, it's time to set that stuff aside, for a little while. It is imperative that Biden win. And he will need help. Helping Joe is the most progressive thing you can do right now, within the Presidential Election space. So please do that, and then resolve your other issues after that's done. Because if Trump isn't ejected this November we might not even live to complain about how about Joe, or Trump, or anything.
And 2% is just no revolution, no matter how much you wanted it; Sorry.
