JOE BIDEN SCORED A REMARKABLE VICTORY on super tuesday.
After that victory for Joe I sat down with the exit polling data and I came across the “Issue that mattered most” question. Unsurprisingly the number 1 issue in each and every state was healthcare (when I noticed this for super Tuesday states I went back and reviewed the exit polls for all the states that have voted so far).
A few questions down from the ‘most important issue’ question was this ‘do you favor or oppose’ exit poll question using this precise language:
A government plan for all instead of private insurance?
Given the nature of the debate within the party on this issue, I was not surprised to find this particular question in this cycle's exit poll for every state. I was shocked, however, to discover what the responses were. Each and every exit poll in each and every state the Democrats that voted favored a government plan for all instead of private insurance. Every single state. Here’s the data from CNN Exit Polling Data:

This begs the question, CAN WE WIN RUNNING AGAINST OURSELVES?
So we come upon this cycle and our number 1 issue is healthcare. Further, of the ways to address this issue on the table, we say we prefer a government-run plan for all instead of relying on private insurance. Those of us who have voted so far report this just after delivering the guy campaigning openly against such a plan victory in most of the states we have had contests in so far.
IF WE WON’T VOTE FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE IN AS DEMOCRATIC PARTISANS, WHY DO WE EXPECT OTHERS TO BELIEVE IN US/vote for us?
With more of us going to the polls tomorrow, I think this is a question we all really ought to answer.
