People’s names have a way of becoming nouns and verbs. This is just a short list of how some names, we are all too familiar with, will come to mean something new after the tRump-era ends. Lexiconists and historians may disagree with this list and will no doubt create a longer one. I bet you can make better suggestions than mine, too…
Collins is the new quisling.
McConnell is the new word for when you spit on the ground with disgust and revulsion.
Rand Paul will be the new words for town idiot.
Nunes-ing is the new verb for brown nosing.
Lindsey will come to be known as a synonym for hypocrite or as a brain worm or something that causes decay from within.
Here is a positive one: McCain-ing or to mccain will become known as doing the right thing before you die.
To be a Rick Perry is to be an elected ignoramus.
The name Barr will refer to any lawyer of a dictator.
Republican, usually shortened to repub will be the definition of traitor to the planet or of all humanity.
Trump will have many definitions, none of them positive. Evil incarnate, evil beyond comprehension, serial killer, charisma of decay, pathological liar, disgusting thing that should be ignored and never allowed to be part of human society, and so on… (Note: Games like Bridge and Spades will no longer be played until they find a new word to replace “trump” that makes people feel good again.)
And finally, the acronym MAGA will become alternate word for fear, as demonstrated in these examples: 1) To quote FDR, “You have nothing to maga except maga itself.” 2) I maga that tRump’s next actions will cause even more death.
