The forming of the Democratic National Platform is something that helps define who, and what, Democratic candidates and voters stand for, in an election, and their reason for registration. State parties and other organizations also have their own platforms related to their state. Unless you are directly a part of the process, though, it is sometimes difficult to follow along.
With the 2020 convention changing to be more virtual, the Democratic National Convention Committee has moved to do something unique — live updates, attendance, and allowing the input of anyone. This change helps introduce voters to the broad and diverse membership of the platform committee and helps us understand how the process is completed.

The first meeting tackled numerous issues; on Wednesday and Friday, more issues will come forward. If you want to participate, these are the next two opportunities for discussion:
-
Wednesday, July 1 from 5-8pm ET: A Vision for a More Equitable Future
-
Thursday, July 2 from 5-8pm ET: Restoring the Soul of America
