Thank you for your endorsement, Florida for Bernie! This is huge! We will win on August 18th, we will win on November 3rd, and then the real work will begin. We will change hearts and minds in favor of Medicare for All and a Green New Deal in the United States House of Representatives.
This is in addition to our campaign’s previous endorsements by Our Revolution: Volusia, Volusia for Justice, Flagler for Bernie, and St. Johns for Bernie. We are very excited to now have a statewide endorsement!
We are proud to announce our endorsement of a fighter for U.S. Congress in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, Dr. Richard Thripp, PhD.
Richard Thripp studied financial literacy and understands the inequities and inequalities that plague our society and economy. He speaks truth to power with his progressive values. He will fight on behalf of Central Floridians and all Americans. Richard will be up against Michael Waltz, a Never Trumper turned Trump lackey. Richard understands the 6th District as a lifelong resident unlike his opponent who is most comfortable on Fox News or in D.C. making deals for the Military Industrial Complex. Waltz’s primary home and homesteaded house is in St. Augustine, that’s in the 4th District!
Richard will fight for Universal Healthcare and Medicaid expansion in Florida, increasing educational funding and student loan forgiveness, raising the minimum wage and UBI, fully funding SS, federal legalization of cannabis and police reform, the Green New Deal and other climate justice reforms, and last but not least strengthening workers’ rights.
Before we get to vote for Richard in the general, we need to get him past the primary on August 18. Please support him how you can by liking his page Richard Thripp for Congress and donating if you can. It’s time for Change for the Many and Richard will diligently work to bring that change to Washington.
