Lets see…
I have seen Pee Wee’s Big Adventure over 300 times. In it’s original theater run we must have seen it 5 times. Then countless time on VHS, then DVD
I have seen Blazing Saddles over 150 times. I remember watching it in hotel room rental machines prior to cable whenever my parents took us on vacation.
I have seen Young Frankenstein over 100 times, the same thing with the Producers. Both the Producers (via VHS) and Young Frankenstein (On cable and VHS) could not be missed.
Excepting for Pee Wee have you noticed a trend? My dad could not pass up Jewish humor and we grew up on it.
Coming up in a more distinct 5 and 6 in a basic time for least most watched films would be The Music Man and a Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum which would each be about 75 times on either cable or VHS tapes. Long live VHS machines!
A close contender with about 50 to 60 times is the greatest comedy horror movie ever made: Student Bodies.
And last in my list of multiple movies seen multiple times is my 80anther to growing up when I did….
The Breakfast Club
There are others that I have seen more than10 times, which I guess is what we should set the minimum number at. Full Metal Jacket, Night of the Living Dead, Fiddler on the Roof, Hellraiser # 1, RoRLD, etc.… but the ones in the main diary seem to stand out more so I separated them out from down here.
So now it is your turn? Any multiple-watched movies for you?
