Welcome to what is the 966th profile here at “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day”, where we’ll be profiling Ted Howze, a Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives for California’s 10th Congressional District in the 2020 elections, and the GOP were hoping he could flip the seat held by Democratic Congressman Josh Harder back red for them. There was just one problem… Howze was an extremely complete sack of racist, sexist, intolerant garbage.
His entire social media page… well, a smarter candidate may have scrubbed the sorts of comments Howze made, that included but were not limited to:
At first, Howze tried claiming all these social media posts were somehow made by “someone else” and insinuated he must have been hacked, but he eventually gave a meager, disingenuine apology for it. Howze lost the election by 11 points. In a district with no partisan lean. Because like we said, he’s a sack of racist, sexist, intolerant garbage. We should mention, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, whose ability to judge the character of his fellow Republicans is currently a topic of discussion, had endorsed him, prior to the media sharing Howze’s social media profile. He pretended he was surprised that this was how Howze really was. Because of course he was, what with his track record of being unaware of how bigoted members of his party are being in plain sight.
