Welcome to what is the 970th profile here at “Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day”, where we’ll be profiling Catherine Carr, a 2020 candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 13th Congressional District, who refers to herself as Catherine “I swear” Carr, and we’re not sure if that’s her insisting she believes she tells the truth, or she’s warning everyone that she’s gonna cuss up a storm. Her… answer when asked what she was asked in a forum what she would do to help her district is a good place to start this profile, because we’re gonna say it’s kind of… well…
“There’s so many wonderful places here, but the potholes will deter people from coming. And they could make art things. You know they could make a square of all kinds of things. Have music and everything. And they could get funded. Federally funded from the National Endowment of the Arts and other funds. So I see a lot of promise for the 13th congressional district, and also in farming and agriculture because of hemp.”
You’re probably not going to win a ton of votes as a Republican by supporting the arts, but “art things” as a way of discussing them? And “potholes keep people from coming”? Is that meant as they’re an annoyance, or they’re so deep it’s like a moat keeping drivers out?
While that answer was so dumb, the news channel ceased to ask her any more questions, it’s still not the most ridiculous thing she was campaigning on. Because this profile is yet another GQP feature, where we talk about how there’s someone who meets the Venn diagram of “Republican running for Congress” and “Qanon conspiracy theory supporter”.
And we’re not just talking about using the hashtags or saying the slogan… Catherine Carr has the Q madness something fierce. She repeatedly has insisted that there are pedophilic Democratic overlords drinking adenochrome harvested from children, and went as far as to claim that Covid-19 was around since 2018 and was only being reported on in 2020 to sabotage Donald Trump’s hopes in his quest for a second term in office:
”“Q says that the virus has been here for a while and they were using it to take down the presidents good good works and that it was spoken about in 2018 and excetera.”
Catherine Carr finished a absolutely pathetic 14th out of a possible 15 candidates in the Republican Primary for the seat, getting all of 707 votes. The guy in second? Well, that was former White House Physician and raging boozehound Dr. Ronny Jackson, who we also should get around to profiling at some point for gaslighting the country about what good physical and mental health Donald Trump was in.
