The Right argues that since Biden has had few press conferences that proves something's wrong with him. The Right is delighted when Biden and the Democrats make mistakes. The Right is sorely disappointed Biden refuses to risk making mistakes that will make him and his administration look bad. Biden does not play games with the media the way the Right wants Biden to play.
Biden avoids giving press conferences because he wants his policies to get attention, not his personal behavior. What’s needed is good governance, not gotcha moments on TV. Biden wants to improve our government, not improve our entertainment on TV. He’s not a “Reality Television Star”; he’s our President. Celebrity journalism, like we get from frequent press conferences, has not improved public policy; it has made things worse. Biden wants to build back better.
Biden knows his limitations and works around them. That's good management. That's to be applauded, not to be attacked.
In lieu of press conferences, Biden has a press secretary he trusts give daily briefings. She also takes questions from reporters and answers on behalf of the Biden administration. That’s what we need. We do NOT need gotcha moments of Biden.
