The image above is like a dozen I got just yesterday, with another six so far this morning. Click bait headlines or “personal” appeals like “We’ve noticed you, XXXX” or “We need your membership, XXXX” The CBC isn’t pointed out here for any reason other than the low production value of their incessant messages. I have two allegedly from Adam Schiff today, and get them allegedly from, to name but a few, Patty Murray, Team Inslee, Mark Kelly, DSCC, SenateMajority.com, Val Demings, Martin Sheen (DSCC) and messages that are made to look like news or an update from 538.
This is my reward for making donations. Lowbrow, sensationalist messaging in quantities that just annoy. I sincerely hope all these folks and the others I get appeals for win, even though none of them are in my hopelessly red state (I almost have to choose out of state candidates to support if I have any hope that my contributions will help move the needle nationwide). But I won’t respond to marketing appeals like these. I will continue to target support directly to candidates or their PACs that I’ve researched.
Information, I welcome. Trash marketing I do not. Stopping now so I can spend some time unsubscribing from these lists, only to be sold to others I’m sure.
