With less than a month until the Midterm Elections, Jeanne Hendricks looks ahead with confidence given the impressive list of endorsements at her back. While these endorsements vary widely in nature, they all have one thing in common: Supporting Jeanne in her mission to defeat U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer and trusting her to give the citizens of Minnesota’s 6th the representation they deserve.
U.S. Representatives Angie Craig and Dean Phillips of Minnesota’s second and third districts, respectively, headline Jeanne’s endorsements. “Minnesota’s Sixth District needs a representative who will work to strengthen our democracy, fight to lower costs for working families and work to expand economic opportunity for everyone – that’s Jeanne Hendricks. I’m working to help send her to Congress because I know she will always do right by Minnesotans," said U.S. Rep. Angie Craig. Similarly, U.S. Rep. Phillips also recognized Jeanne’s dedication to fight for issues that matter, and commented: “I am proud to endorse Jeanne Hendricks for Minnesota’s 6th; we need more members of Congress who prioritize women’s rights, gun violence prevention, and addressing climate change.”
Jeanne is a strong supporter of the MN AFL-CIO and the MN Building Construction Trades Council. She will be a champion for Davis-Bacon and Project Labor Agreements, and work hard to strengthen Minnesota’s Labor Unions. In addition, Jeanne will work with labor unions, environmental organizations, business and community leaders, and our citizens to solve today’s economic challenges in ways that create and maintain quality jobs and build a clean, thriving, and equitable economy. She just received a massive endorsement from Education Minnesota (NEA & AFT Combined in MN) and was further endorsed by the American, Federal, State, County and Municipal Employees.
Jeanne is also endorsed by The National Association of Social Workers, the largest membership organization of social workers in the world, who support Jeanne for her representation of America’s essential social workers within our democratic society.
Another central component to a thriving democracy is gender equality, and Jeanne Hendricks recognizes that it is more important now than ever to defend women’s rights. Accordingly, both the National Women’s Political Caucus and the National Organization for Women endorse Jeanne Hendricks for U.S. Rep. in Minnesota’s 6th. With their support, Jeanne fights to protect a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions, pay equity, and equal opportunity.
The Hendricks 2022 campaign is also fully endorsed by the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor party, and by many of the DFL’s legislative caucuses. This includes the DFL Rural caucus, which recognized Jeanne’s mission to represent all the people of Minnesota, including underrepresented rural populations. With her dedication to honoring veterans and ensuring that they have access to educational opportunities, healthcare, and employment and rehabilitation services, Jeanne earned the endorsement of the Minnesota DFL Veterans Caucus. Jeanne prioritizes combating climate change and understands the responsibility of protecting our environment for future generations, and accordingly, earned the endorsement of the Minnesota DFL Environmental Caucus. And to top off her DFL caucus endorsements, Jeanne earned the endorsement of the DFL Senior Citizens Caucus because of her unwavering commitment to protecting Social Security and Medicare.
The Hendricks 2022 campaign is proud to have these endorsements in the fight to retire Tom Emmer in Minnesota’s 6th. With election day right around the corner, this support comes at a critical time.
