Democrats in Minnesota have flipped the State Senate. They also retained control of the House, and retained all statewide offices. Governor Walz defeated litter box promoter Scott Jensen. Now they have complete control of state government for the first time in a long time. Republicans had a lot of big talk about getting both houses and the Governor. Republicans reneged on an agreement on how to use the big budget surplus, in hopes of gaining control and using it the way they wanted. The voters had other ideas.
I think Jensen’s promotion of the litter box slander backfired by making him look more extreme and dishonest.
I am proud to be a resident of this state that does not fall for the harsh false attacks of the Republicans. Maybe the tide is turning on state and local election in this country.
