This is my new twist on an old adage. (The original adage was “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”)
Every day, people are needlessly dying of covid because they stubbornly refused to get vaccinated. When an individual with a bad covid infection winds up in intensive care, hooked up to a machine in order to breathe, it’s too late for the vaccine. When faced with an imminent and agonizing death, desperate covid patients ask for prayers. Unfortunately, the prayers don’t seem to work too often. What generally does work is getting vaccinated. Yes, I’m aware that vaccinated people can still get covid, but the vast majority of covid deaths are of the unvaccinated.
(How many times do I have to keep explaining that to thick-headed anti-vaxxers?)
