On Batman v. Superman (Warner Bros. name, not Snyder nor Terrio's idea) Chris Terrio wrote an actually good script (like he always does. See movie: Argo) he toned down the excessive unnecessary darkness and put his foot down; so Batman would stop branding criminals like a cow at the end of the movie. The dumbasses at Warner Bros. thought it was a good idea to have movies be less than 2 hours long, especially 1 WB Executive in particular. They took advantage of reducing Terrio/Snyder's cut for the theatrical release, so they could make the movie more darker and remove meaningful story and character arc. After the theatrical release received Negative reviews for being too dark and hardly having a scene that lives up to the Title, the studio blame Chris Terrio to his face, and Mr. Terrio responded back; pointing out that it was them that made the movie too dark and removed meaningful & necessary storytelling. Same thing happened with Justice League, it was reduced from 4 hours to 2 hours long, and removed meaningful storytelling & character arc. Hell the Studio even replace the logical; Cyborg putting the team together with the nonsensical Batman putting the team together, for mindless fan service. When Justice League performed less better than Batman v. Superman, they blame Snyder; scapegoating him, once again not taking any responsibility for their own actions that are which is actually responsible for the Box Office failure and negative reviews. Joss Whedon who made the theatrical cut, didn't get any blame because he did exactly what Warner Bros. wanted.
Matt Reeves made The Batman (2022) with 3D in mind from the ground up, and when the Studio informed him they will release it in Monoscopic 2D Only, he demanded they release it in 3D & 2D. They promised him in exchange of a 2D Only release; they would guarantee him his ventures in any and all shows related to his movie he wants; no matter how the movie performs in the Box Office, and that people will get to eventually see his Batman movie in 3D. Well, after the movie only made $128 million from its "6 day opening weekend"; instead of the $230 million estimate for a 3 day opening weekend that was foretold (the entire industry clearly forgets to take 3D screenings into account for an action movie's performance), they cancelled his Gotham series and blamed him (Mr. Reeves) for the poor performance of his own movie. Once again; no one @ Warner Bros. took responsible for their actions and blamed everyone else but themselves for their actions and consequences (what is this? the Trump Administration, LOL). I mean common sense would tell you that people have already seen a million Batman movies in 2D and IMAX to death, and we have had no incentive to see another Batman movie in theaters in neither 2D nor IMAX again. But when your studio is run by mostly middle-aged Cis White people only, you're just asking for mistakes to happen. Batman could have made a minimum of $1.5 billion in the Global Box, but instead only made a portion as much money, and Matt Reeves is being blame for Warner Brothers mistakes.
Lana Wachowski and her sibling spent 10 years working on The Matrix 4 & 5 and spent the first few of those year's working alongside James Cameron on Matrix 4 and 5. So if you're wondering why James Cameron took soo long to make the Sequels; Avatar 2 thru 5, it's because he was also working on Resident Evil 4 Afterlife and Matrix 4 & 5 and Terminator Dark Fate (and maybe who knows what else). Lana Wachowski wanted people to see her (and Lilly & James) work in 3D as it was intended, but Warner Brothers reneged and released it in Flat Monoscopic 2D Only, promising Lana Wachowski that people will eventually get to see it in 3D, and that they will immediately greelit Matrix 5 no matter how poorly Matrix 4 Resurrections performed without any 3D Screenings. Well as the one millionth Matrix movie to release in 2D & IMAX, it bombed and they blamed Lana Wachowski and reneg on the Matrix 5 greenlit. The Matrix 5 is now Officially on Hiatus.
Toby Emmerich (President of Warner Bros.) claiming they are giving Directors and Writers complete freedom making movies, is a complete joke and a lie. Only James Gunn was given freedom because he chose to not do The Suicide Squad 2 (2021) in 3D. So you basically have to agree with whatever Warner Bros. wants, to get actual freedom like Toby Emmerich (WB President) claims. James Gunn The Suicide Squad 2 (2K21) may have bombed, but because he happen to do what Warner Bros. wanted, he gets to continue getting any project he wants instantly greenlit. The Double-Standards at Warner Bros. is unbelievable, but its right in front of our face to see. James Gunn & Joss Whedon get treated one way, and Matt Reeves + Lana Wachowski get treated another way. If you don't like 3D, Toby Emmerich (Warner Bros. President) will give you whatever you want, and if you do like 3D, Mr. Emmerich will look for an excuse to punish you for it (or whatever is the actual bizarre reason for these executions in Double-Standards).
So Warner Bros. is just a mountain of Reneging and broken promises with both the old and current board; and are making mistakes & blaming everyone but themselves.
Actor Ray Fisher (African-American actor who plays Cyborg in DCEU) has also alleged that Hamada actively discouraged a third-party investigation of abuse on Whedon's Justice League set, and calling the DC Films President "the most dangerous kind of enabler." WarnerMedia released a statement in Jan. 2021 defending Hamada and disputing Fisher's claims. Whedon also denied abuse allegations against him, though his behavior has been criticized by cast and crew across more than one production, including Justice League, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly. Even Gal Gadot (Jewish/Israeli actor who plays Wonder Woman) talked about how Joss Whedon had threatened to end her whole career. And Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa have back-up the claims of Ray Fisher & Gal Gadot.
Joss Whedon continues to be rewarded by WB President: Toby Emmerich, with his show that got greenlit and released on HBO.
Chris Terrio (writer of Argo) version of Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice (title was neither his nor Zack Snyder's idea):
Chris Terrio's Justice League [the Director's (Zack Snyder) Cut]:
