Everglades National Park is big. Really big. So I’ve split it into three sections: Royal Palm Visitor Center, Flamingo Visitor Center, and Shark Valley Visitor Center.
Flamingo is located way at the southern end of the park. Much of this area is saltwater, and it is the place to see American Crocodiles. Crocs prefer saltwater, and the extreme tip of Florida is the only place in the US that they are found (though they range all the way down into Central America). The crocs are more secretive than the gators and are much harder to find.
Some photos.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently in Florida for the winter.
