We’ve been working on several small changes in the styling on comments lately. Most of these are subtle cleanups to better handle the displays on narrower screens, for those of you who have such devices. We’ve fixed some alignment issues and are working on a plan that will bring the full comment editor and functionality to phones by default. We’re also working on a layout that prevents the Race To The Right Margin from becoming a skinny ridiculous sliver of text on wide screens.
Today’s change is a difference in how we indicate that a comment is selected. It used to look like this:
Now it will look like this:
(Well, it won’t add an image of baby chicks to every comment; I only mean the drop shadow vs. orange border.)
This works a little better with the new layout that will indicate replies with vertical lines on the left like so:
An update on the “Load More” issues — we’ve identified a possible solution/improvement there, and it should be released next month.
