Everglades National Park is big. Really big. So I’ve split it into three sections: Royal Palm Visitor Center, Flamingo Visitor Center, and Shark Valley Visitor Center.
Shark Valley is at the northern edge of the park. No, there are no sharks here, but it is a good place to see Alligators. It is hatchling season right now, so the youngsters are all gathered round near Mommy. You, uh, don’t wanna mess with them. Although the gators here are well-habituated to humans, Mommy can get very crotchety if you scare Junior.
Some photos.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently in Florida for the winter.
