We Democrats have the following topics, that might get us enough votes, to win every election this year, and in 2024.
Obviously, I mean every election that looks likely for us to win, and all those that only look like maybes.
- Abortion
- Guns
- January 6th
- Ukraine, Trump, Putin connection
American voters are outraged,
and ready to vote, because of those topics.
We can win more seats in the House,
more seats in the Senate,
more Governors,
more mayors,
more state laws to allow abortions,
a federal law to allow abortions.
We can eliminate the filibuster,
and the Electoral College,
pack the Supreme Court,
grant statehood to The District of Columbia,
and Puerto Rico,
giving us more Democratic Senators.
We can pass very strict gun control laws.
This is my daydream.
By the way, here in Kansas,
where our 6 Electoral College votes,
never go to the Democrat,
and we never send a Democrat to the Senate,
we have a Democrat, as our Governor,
Laura Kelly.
And one of our House members is a Democrat,
Sharice Davids.
And, our Kansas Supreme court ruled, in 2019,
that our Kansas Constitution,
assures women the right to abortions.
And the Republicans are pushing an amendment,
that we Kansas voters will vote on,
August 2nd.
Voting yes on it, will block abortions here,
voting no will keep abortions legal here.
Here in Wichita, Kansas, a certain clinic is truly swamped,
with women calling, needing to come in, from neighboring states.
Just thought I would mention all that,
so you can see that I am not in a deep red state,
unable to do anything.
I will certainly vote no, in August.
And, in November,
I will vote for whatever Democrat is challenging Ron Estes,
to represent me,
in the fourth district.
And I will vote for the Democrat, running to replace Stephanie Byers,
(who is moving to Texas,)
in the Kansas House.
Stephanie Byers is a trans woman.
My wife’s Aunt Oletha is a black woman,
and has been a Kansas State Senator,
for many years.
So, as I said, Kansas is not a lost cause.
We elected a woman, a Democrat, as our Governor,
a woman, a Democrat, to the House,
a Black woman, a Democrat, to the Kansas Senate,
and a trans woman, a Democrat, to the Kansas House.
And, given the shock about the abortion ruling, by the US Supreme Court,
we may get enough Kansas voters to wake up,
and vote no, to this Kansas abortion blocking amendment.
Anyway, as I said, this is my daydream.
But, as John Lennon said,
I’m not the only one:
I may be a dreamer,
but I’m not the only one:
