Underlying idea:
It’s a bad idea to attack “Republicans” as a collective group — we want to attract voters who have traditionally considered themselves Republican but who need to be convinced that the leadership of the Republican party has become counter productive and evil.
We need to persuade large numbers of traditional Republican voters that the leadership of Republican party has changed radically from what it should it should be, which is to raise quality of life in America while in power, rather than tax cuts for the wealthy and destruction of programs like Obamacare. And, while out of power, to be a “loyal opposition” in Congress that offers constructive suggestions to improve Democratic legislation — rather than to be the current crop of “obstructionist extremists” whose objective is to obtain power by preventing Democrats from passing legislation that will improve the lives of the majority of Americans, and make voters happy, who seek to obtain power by retarding economic growth, to obtain power from stupid shenanigans like refusing to approve raising the debt ceiling, to obtain power by refusing to approve judicial appointments by Democrats, to obtain power by refusing to approve heads of federal departments.
Attack Mitch McConnell the way that Republican operatives demonize Nancy Pelosi. Attack Republican leadership for cowardice and moral turpitude for failing to impeach the loony tunes Donald Trump for trying to enlist foreign governments to supply negative information on Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, and for continuing to support Trump after his treasonous attempt to remain president.
Attack Republican leadership for climate change denialism. Attack Republican leadership for trying to kill Obamacare. Attack them for giving huge tax breaks for the 1 per cent.
It’s the leaders we need to attack.
