It seems that Biden’s decision to get out of Afghanistan was not popular. That lowered his ratings. I do not understand though. I think that he took the right decision. After about 2448 soldiers killed in that 20 years' war and 2.26 trillion dollars spent, there was nothing there, no progress, no regime change. The government left their country, probably with a lot of the money. But the press bashed Biden to no end. Yes, it was not easy nor pretty to get out of there. He pulled the bandage on a wound all at once and yes, there was pain. It was also like an alcoholic who quit drinking all at once. I do think that that was a good decision by Biden. Sometimes, enough is enough. The USA tried. Now, it is up to the afghani's to decide what country they want. We stopped being their Daddy’s to them. We fought a Revolution and a Civil War in this country to decide our fate as a free country. They should have the same courage to do the same. You can take the horses to the water, but you cannot make them drink.
The press is definitely unfair to Biden. The press needs to sell. It needs ratings. Good news are not sellers, only “Disastrous exit from Afghanistan by Biden”, “Skyrocketing Inflation”, “Skyrocketing gas prices”, How about the people who keep buying and traveling? Why do we not help our President and slow down on buying stuff we do not need and use the most economic car we have to travel? Not that Corvette or RV’s”. We are all guilty. Biden cannot fix our addiction to material stuff.
Let us help. Let us take responsibility, do not blame everything on Biden.
