President Joe Biden has announced debt forgiveness for millions of Americans saddled with crippling and excessive college debt. Naturally, the right is attacking him savagely and hypocritically.
Neanderthal American Majorie Taylor Greene has grunted out a series of syllables that seem to indicate she considers it “unfair” to cancel the debts of millions of Americans who had to take loans to get a shot at a decent job.
Whenever anyone to the left of Attila the Hun points out that something the right does is unfair, they usually make 'waah waah” sounds and laugh, so doing the same would be a fair and just reply to this Neanderthal's claims of unfairness.
In addition to hypocritical claims of 'unfairness” which the right only replies to with mockery, they are of course grunting out “How you pay for it?” This is the question frequently asked when the conservatives want to give the right a 'yuuuge' taxcut. and generally never answered. (Saying 'it pays for itself in increased revenue” is not an answer as this has been absolutely proven false time and time again. Since nothing about the statement is true or factual giving it as an answer is giving no answer at all.)
Well, I think there's a simple answer to how we pay for the student loan debt forgiveness: We take back the trillion+ dollar taxcut Txxxx gave the richest Americans with no input from democrats at all.
I could see Joe Biden and democrats making a major campaign ad over this. Point out the 'pitch' was the taxcut would be invested in American jobs, show the evidence it wasn't and state it's being reversed because it was made under false premises that have completely been discredited by facts.
So yes, let's answer the question the conservatives never answer when asked, and answer it in a way they won't like.
