Long story short, gambling is still prohibited in South Carolina. Therefore, the Catawba Native American tribe had to set up their casino operation in North Carolina. To achieve this, they enlisted politically connected lobbyists who also happened to run the management firm they eventually illegally contracted to run the operation. Mountains of red dirt tower above the building, undisturbed long enough for grass to cover parts of the mounds…
Reporting in the Wall Street Journal over the summer showed that John Clyburn, brother of U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn, and Michael Haley, husband of former South Carolina Gov. And this is the American casino industry, one of the dirtiest, most corrupt industries on the planet.
Sounds like Nikki Haley is just a low rent Donald Trump in lipstick.
PS, isn’t it fascinating how when everyone else loses, some politicians like Haley somehow still make bank?
