During her all-too-short time on this Earth, Noble Fur accompanied me on five cross-country journeys between my home in Georgia and my summer jobs in the Northwest. In 2018 and 2021, the route home included Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
The following series is from October 2018. We had driven through a portion of Yellowstone National Park. It was getting late in the day, and I was hoping to find a place to stay, in or near the park. I stopped at Colter Bay Village, only to learn that the cabins had been recently closed for the season. Only a couple other cars were in the parking lot. It was a great opportunity for Noble Fur to enjoy a quiet walk among the cabins.
At the end of the walk, we circled back to the parking lot. It was hard to get a decent picture of the mountains, because the camera was looking directly towards the late afternoon sun.
Here is a pic taken east of the park on the 2021 trip.
Since I don’t have any videos of Noble Fur for this part of our travels, let’s close with a brief video of Abyss Pool in Yellowstone National Park. Extra credit if you can translate what the tourists behind me are saying!
