Yesterday Fox was able to buy its way out of the lawsuit Dominion filed against the corporation for spreading lies about Dominion’s voting machines. (And the 2020 election in general for that matter — but democracy doesn’t have the legal standing — or the big bucks — to take them to court.)
So Fox has to pay a lot of money, but avoids having its top people, including Rupert Murdoch, having to take the stand and testify they knowingly lied their collective asses off. (Which is their business model on just about everything — but I digress.)
Stephen Colbert is not happy about this. (He also gets around to Ron DeSantis and George Santos.) If you didn’t see Colbert last night, here you go.
Update: the poll question is about your reaction to the monolog by Colbert — did he do a good job (thumbs up) or not (thumbs down.) I realized I should have made it less ambiguous after posting.
