Watched the commissioner meeting and went over notes. My stand-in took notes but said that the hearing provided on YouTube was not the whole hearing and not the one he saw. He was there for an hour. Notes will be provided later. I have to send an email. In the meeting a woman named Marsha Elis spoke on behalf of the panthers and the land in regards to an aggregate mining area on Alico road and at the end It sounds like one of the commissioners disregarded it. I don’t understand the bureaucratic language they use. Earlier they told her they would not listen to any new evidence and they had a lawyer there to tell her she’s not allowed to present any new evidence. That inspired me to write, likely another daily kos article once it’s fleshed out. She was a fierce advocate in this dry sole-less meeting. I looked her up on fb and it turns out she already requested me and we have a mutual friend.
