John F. Kennedy was born on May 29th 1917 in Brookline, MA. He was the 35th president of the United States. There are still books written about this most charismatic American president. Today, there are still things we are finding out about his life we did not know. I have put together some of the facts about JFK that are never given any attention.
Well for starters President Kennedy had a photographic memory.
He was born with one leg shorter than the other.
He could read 1,200 words a minute.
He loved reading James Bond novels.
In 1954-1955 he and his brother-Robert F. Kennedy attended meetings at the Foundation for Better Reading in Baltimore.
His favorite poet was Robert Frost.
He was an award-winning author; he won the Pulitzer Prize for his book 1956- Profiles in Courage.
At the age of 43 JFK was the youngest president in US history and he remains so today.
JFK smoked 4-5 cigars a day.
JFK’s valet was a Black man named George Thomas who was with him from 1947 up until the day he died. George Thomas even prepared the president’s body for burial.
JFK hired the first Black Secret Service agent—Abraham Bolden.
The US Navy SEALs came into existence during the Kennedy Administration.
JFK was a war hero and was awarded the Purple Heart.
JFK was a tall man; he stood 6’ 1”.
He was right handed and loved to doddle.
Most important is, John F. Kennedy is the greatest American orator of the 20th century.
