Former White House resident Donald John Gargamel Trump has been indicted on espionage and conspiracy. But on Fox News — this is really just an attempt to distract from the bad news about Joe Biden.
Here you have Nancy Mace claiming that “They want him to die in jail” all in order to distract from… Joe Biden.
"Nancy Mace, you called this, okay?" Fox News host Maria Bartiromo told Mace. "I heard you last week say, now that we have this FBI document [about Joe Biden], we'll see what they come up with in terms of changing the conversation. That is exactly what happened."
"So on the very day that we learned that you all have seen this [Biden] document, we learned that President Trump was indicted," Bartiromo said.
"And honestly, no one's made the connection yet either, Maria," Mace replied. "But when we got access to the suspicious activity reports, the day we got access to the SARS reports, Alvin Bragg indicted Trump in New York. The day that we got access to this 1023 form showing bribery between Joe Biden and Hunter Biden in Ukraine, they indict Donald Trump again.
"Every time the Oversight Committee has evidence of corruption, bribery, money laundering on the Biden family, they indict Donald Trump," she asserted.
Mace accused Biden of "weaponizing the executive branch to take out [his] political enemies."
"And look, Joe Biden wants to give Donald Trump a death sentence for documents," the lawmaker complained. "They are, he's facing hundreds of years for mishandling documents, and they want him to die in jail. And yet Hillary Clinton is standing free today."
Back in the semi-sane world there are some who clearly recognize the seriousness of this new Federal Indictment. Some.
Not that anyone on the GOP side is listening to Bill Barr anymore. And that’s just the beginning.
Of course, we know that misdirection is the classic first ploy used by Fox News when there is bad news for the GOP or Trump. But this time it’s at Megaton Strength Level.
Judge Jeanine: How many documents were altered? How many documents were destroyed? Zero. Zero! But who destroyed 30,000 documents and lied about it over and over again? Hillary Clinton.
Hillary didn’t “destroy” anything. After pulling out and delivering to the FOIA office all the emails that were sent to the State Dept, or mentioned “Benghazi” ,her lawyers asked “Do you still need the rest of this?”
She said “No.”
So they told the IT guy to cut the retention of the emails to 30 days and he did that. All this happened before the Benghazi hearings and the House GOP issued a subpoena for *everything*. The only problem was that the IT guy had forgotten one backup copy that was left over, and he didn’t delete that until later. He didn’t know about the subpoena at the time, and Hillary never lied about any of this.
The FBI did eventually find all her “missing” emails by going through her address book and pulling her emails out of the archives of people she had sent them to.
[Just like the GRU tried to do with the DNC and John Podesta. Yes, Russia was listening...]
Mark Levin: What did he do with the documents? Did he sell them to the enemy? No! That’s why we have an espionage act, not to trick up a President. What did he do — did he burn them all? No!
[ Although he did bring up that option with his lawyers]
The government has all the documents back.
[After a subpoena and a search warrant!]
So there is no violation of the Presidential Records Act.
[Yes, there was — the documents are *all* government property and don’t belong to him.]
But they throw the book at him? They go after his attorneys?
[No, they questioned his attorneys because he tried to use them to commit a crime.]
They got his attorneys to testify under the crime-fraud exception. That means he didn’t have due process. His own lawyers were being subjected to interrogations.
[Because he tried to commit a crime and a fraud.]
Yeah, ok.
Pete Hegseth: We don’t know anything about those pictures. Those could have been — I’ve been in that ballroom a lot of people have.
[No shit!]
There are not boxes lining the stage of that ballroom on a regular basis.
[There were are one point.]
We don’t know the context of any of those photos.
[That’s in the text of the indictment, Walt Nauta took them]
What are in those boxes, they could be notes, they could be unclassified?
A lot of it was unclassified, but not all of it. Here in this picture of a box that had fallen over, and as Trump and Chaffetz has claimed, most of it is news paper. But if you look in the lower right corner there’s a document with a Big Red Border.
That’s a classified document. [Edit: CNN has confirmed on their “Whole Story” program that this document is classified and part of the “Five Eyes" chain. The reason the cover looks slightly blurry is that they have hidden the text so that it isn’t publically revealed] There’s another one near the top of the stack just above it.
House Ways and Means Chair Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO): What really alarms me is the FBI whistleblower who came forward last week — that actually — his allegations against the current President. Which is Joe Biden. That is extremely alarming. All these whistleblowers that came forward. I’ve had whistleblowers in the Ways and Means committee. Issues with the Department of Justice. Issues with the IRS. Issues about investigations of prominent individuals.
[...]
It seems like a double-standard going after Donald Trump and the American people are not going to stand for it.
[...]
What I find objectionable is that DOJ has so many greater issues to be investigated besides the leading opponent to the Justice dept that is controlled by him.
So, the former guy is hiding classified information from his own government — but look over here a known Russian Spy is making bogus bribery allegations against Joe Biden. Again. In fact, it’s the exact same allegation that Trump asked Zelensky to investigate and helped lead to his first impeachment which was treated as the bullshit it is by the State Dept and the FBI. We should listen to that.
Let’s just recall that they kept the boxes in the same room as a photocopier, so the Chinese and Russian spies didn’t even need to take the documents out of the room in order to walk out with their own copies. So convenient.
And for the record, there were Russian Spies who were walking around the grounds at Mar-A-Lago.
This is Donbass Devushka. Or rather one of them.
US-born Sarah Bils, 30, admitted in an interview with The Wall Street Journal published last week that she has been overseeing a network of social media accounts called Donbass Devushka, which translates to “Donbas girl”. The former Washington, DC-based noncommissioned Navy officer pretended to be posting from the Ukrainian city of Luhansk. Speaking with a light Russian accent to her hundreds of thousands of followers, Bils expressed her admiration for Vladimir Putin while promoting pro-Russia views on the Ukraine war.
The former US military professional had a security clearance as part of her Navy career. She has been building a “small disinformation empire on Twitter and Telegram” from her in Oak Harbor, Washington state since 2021 with the help of more than a dozen people, according to pro-Ukraine group NAFO, which was one of the first to uncover Bils’ true identity.
Donbass Devushka helped to spread classified files allegedly leaked by airman Jack Teixeira, posting four of those documents to its 65,000 followers on Telegram, according to The Wall Street Journal. Those were posted by another administrator, according to Bils, adding that she is one of 15 administrators “all over the world” involved in running the Donbass Devushka network.
When the war in Ukraine broke out in February 2022, Bils created multiple accounts on Twitter promoting pro-Kremlin views by claiming that Kyiv was sponsoring “Nazi marauders” while downplaying the setbacks of Russian forces in Ukraine.
So that’s awesome.
But rather than consider the damaging consequences to our National Security they have adopted all of Trump’s defensive talking points no matter how ridiculous they may be.
When an item is declassified it goes through a process. The originating organization reviews the document to determine if portions of it, individual words or paragraphs, still need to be considered classified and the document is redacted to reflect this. The current classifications level markings are crossed out and a new making of “Unclassified” is added plus a signature and date/time stamp indicating who made the change and when.
This is.a page taken from James Comey’s classified notes from his one-on-one discussions with Trump.
As head of his agency, Comey had the power to declassify any document generated by his agency. Secretary Clinton had this same power when she was in office, only she generally delegated that task to her staff (who actually did that as they sent her emails which had held formerly “confidential” materials which had been downgraded within the department). As Vice President Joe Biden also had this power because years before Dick Cheney had used that authority to reveal to Judith Miller that Valerie Plame was a CIA employee.
Anyhoo.
You can see that “Confidential/NOFORN” has been crossed out. You can see the redactions, the signature and date/time stamps handwritten in and a new declassification stamp is at the bottom left of the page. This is a declassified document. It’s obvious as soon as you look at it. This is not the case with Trump’s documents because if that had happened already no one could have said that the documents are “classified” because they clearly wouldn’t be anymore.
And they’re making up total bullshit.
And even worse. They argue that this indictment is merely an attempt to interfere with the 2020 election.
Let's get a few things straight here. Donald John Trump is not being singled out, while Joe Biden is being left alone by the Justice Department. Biden, as President, can not currently be indicted or charged in the same way that Trump couldn't be indicted or charged by Mueller. The fact that Trump wasn't charged does not mean that he was innocent, in fact, Mueller specifically said he was "Not Exonerated" when the investigation was done. So now Biden has the same immunity that Trump used to have.
We don't yet know all the facts. Trump hasn't had his trial yet, and all the facts are not yet released about Biden and his family. Be that as it may, we do know that the allegations of corruption by the Bidens started with a Russian Spy by the name of Andriy Derkach. We do know that prior to Hunter's laptop suddenly showing up - his company Burisma was fucking hacked by Russian Military Intelligence.
So, there is some cause for skepticism.
When classified documents were found at Pence's and Biden's homes, they turned them over immediately. They didn't argue, they didn't stall, they didn't lie about having the documents, and they didn't play games with the National Archives. They did what they should have done.
The problem with Trump isn't that the documents were found, or were classified, or if they were declassified. The issue is that he had National Security information that he was hiding from the government and sharing with unauthorized people. He had boxes moved to hide them from his own lawyer. He asked his lawyers to lie to the DOJ. He gave some back after the subpoena while continuing to hide others. The FBI found some of those with the search warrant, but some others - apparently - may have been flown out of town on a plane. That is the problem.
This information comes from Donald's own words. It comes from conversations he had with his lawyer. It comes from his on emails and text messages as well as witnesses.
He deserves his time in court and a chance to put forward his defense. With Aileen Cannon as his judge, he might even be successful. But the idea that the DOJ has only decided to pick on Trump, for political reasons, is fucking ludicrous.
If Hillary Clinton - who never created any classified emails - or Obama had done 1/10th of this shit the MAGAs would want them put UNDER the jail. People already wanted them prosecuted for literally nothing. Jade Helm 13. Birth Certificates. Benghazi which was a terrorist attack. Stupid shit.
With the case going forward Trump's popularity, even with people who previously didn't support him, is going up. If the DOJ was trying to hurt his Presidential campaign, that has obviously backfired. And also obviously, they had to know it would backfire. So they know it's going to increase Trump's popularity - then if you hope to hurt his popularity, why do it exactly? If he loses the case but wins re-election he can just pardon himself, so what's the point?
You do it because it's because the law and justice demand that you do it.
Ultimately, he may win and he may lose. He's not President anymore, he doesn't get to keep government documents in his bathroom, he's a private citizen just like you or me. The facts and the evidence shows that this case should be pursued and we should have a resolution one way or another.
But it's not because of the "Deep State" and it’s not an attempt to distract from the “corruption” of Joe Biden. It's because of Trump's own actions.
Tomorrow he faces arraignment, with luck that will go down without a ruckus.
But then again, with his people this riled up, it just might get ugly.
